Everyone needs an adventure! The Maxinkuckee Adventure Sailing Program goal is to create a lifelong adventure and love for sailing, water and our environment. Max Adventure Saturday Sailing, Max Adventure Sailing Camps are designed for ages 6-14 years to teach kids to be independent and comfortable on the water. First time sailors have the goal to learn how to single hand their own boat. More experienced sailors will build on their sailing knowledge and skills throughout the programs. We also offer Teen & Adult Learn to Sail instruction as well through private lessons. All participants have the goal of fun!
Max Adventure Sailing Saturdays
The Adventure Sailing Saturday Program is for children ages 6-14 years old. 2025 classes will run from June 14, 2025 through July 26, 2025 from 9-11:30am, at the Culver Town Beach, on Lake Maxinkuckee, in Culver, Indiana. We ask participants must commit to being at all of the Saturdays, but understand it is a busy time for vacations and activities. This program is run by our volunteers. A parent must remain during each lesson and be able to assist/volunteer as needed. Without our parents and volunteers, this program wouldn't exist!
This program includes a children’s learn to sail program and a dinghy racing program where young sailors are coached on the water to learn racing skills. The racing portion will coincide with Dinghy Racing which is open to everyone (adults too), sailing dinghys under 15 feet from 10:30-11:30 am.
The cost of Adventure Sailing Saturdays is $100 per child. Participants who are a Family Member of the Maxinkuckee Yacht Club receive a 30% discount on the program fee.

Our camps are focused on Sailing, but also include Kayaking, Stand-up Paddle boarding and Water Games (no motorized activities). All camps take place at the Culver Town Beach. Camp is 4 DAYS.

Max Adventure - Teen & Adult LEARN To SaiL
Do you want to learn to sail like your kids? Improve your sailing? Have you always wanted to learn to sail? Private instruction is perfect for adults who want to learn or improve their sailing skills! We do our best to accommodate requests, however, we do not always have instructors available. No sailing experience is necessary to participate in this class, as all participants will learn be taught based on their individual level of knowledge. Ages 15+ welcome

Regattas
Come join us for some fun!! These regattas are open to sailors on and off the lake. We’d love to have you come participate and enjoy our beautiful town of Culver, Indiana and Lake Maxinkuckee.
